Chevron Oronite Announces Change in 

Commercial Leadership

SAN RAMON, Calif., June 8, 2023 – Chevron Oronite recently announced that Koon Eng Goh has elected to retire in August after a 32-year career with Chevron. Cary Knuth, vice president, Lubricants, Americas Products, will assume the role of vice president, Commercial, Chevron Chemicals, effective July 1, 2023.

 
“We wish Koon Eng and his family all the best in their future endeavors as he closes out a very distinguished career with Chevron,” said Mitra Kashanchi, president, Chevron Chemicals. “Koon Eng made many contributions towards Chevron Oronite’s growth over the entirety of his career, serving in numerous leadership positions and playing a key role in the building of the Singapore plant, the Ningbo (China) plant, and the acquisition of PARATONE® viscosity modifier business.”  


Knuth brings a wealth of commercial experience to Chemicals. He started his career at Chevron in 1990 as part of the Marketing MBA Development Program and since then has held numerous positions of increasing responsibility across Louisiana, Texas, and California. He received his Bachelor of Science in psychology from Brigham Young University and his Master in Business Administration from Oregon State University.
