Chevron Oronite to present at the upcoming STLE conference
SAN RAMON, Calif., May 18, 2023 – Chevron Oronite is scheduled to present three technical papers at the 77th Society of Tribologists and Lubrication Engineers (STLE) Annual Meeting & Exhibition which is being held May 21 – 25 at the Long Beach Convention Center in Long Beach, California.
Ashish Jha, Lead Research and Development Specialist, Chevron Oronite, will present “Performance of Additives Improving Asphaltene Dispersancy in Group II Base Stocks” on Monday, May 22 at 1:30 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. This presentation describes improvements made in asphaltene dispersancy in Group II base oils to address the challenges of asphaltene deposits in Marine TPEO applications.
Brendan Miller, Lead Research Scientist and Ramoun Mourhatch, Technology Development Formulator, Chevron Oronite, will deliver a presentation titled: “Bench Friction Evolution of Engine-Aged Oils” on Tuesday, May 23 from 10:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. This presentation will demonstrate friction performance depletion over time for various organic friction modifiers aged in an engine.
On Thursday, May 25, Dinesh Bansal, Senior Research & Development Specialist, Chevron Oronite, will present “Chevron Oronite – Demonstration of H2-ICE Capable Engine Oil” from 8:30 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. The research presented will help advance efforts to offer a robust and reliable lubricant additive technology for use in hydrogen internal combustion engines without increasing the maintenance complexity for fleet owners.
The STLE conference will showcase a wide range of technical presentations, application-based case studies, best practice reports and discussion panels on many technical topics and market trends. The exhibition will also spotlight the latest products and services of interest to lubrication professionals from around the world, representing a full range of corporate, government and academic institutions.
