chevron oronite to sponsor & present at the virtual F&L week 2021
SAN RAMON, Calif., March 3, 2021 – Chevron Oronite is sponsoring and presenting at the F&L Virtual Conference 2021, which is taking place March 9-12, 2021. The theme of this year’s conference is “Disruption and Transformation,” which explores the current state of the industry, the disruptive forces impacting it, and how companies can prepare to transform their business to meet those challenges.
Chevron Oronite’s four participants are: Anand Bhargav, global segment manager for main tier, PCMO and small engines, will give a presentation titled “Prepared to meet the GM dexos1™ Gen 3 specification” on March 10, 2021 (day 2) at 10:45 a.m. – 11:00 a.m., SGT. Anand will discuss the expected requirements of the upcoming dexos1™ Gen 3 specification and how Oronite is positioned to be the provider of choice to meet the new specifications.
Isao Tanaka, senior formulator, AEO Product Development Team at the Omaezaki Technology Center, will give a presentation titled “Investigation into performance test methods and lubricating oils suited for hybrid electric vehicles” on March 10, 2021 (day 2) at 11:45 a.m. – 12:15 p.m., SGT. “My focus will center on whether HEVs experience engine oil performance issues associated with high amounts of fuel and water dilution, including whether lubricant technology can mitigate these potential issues,” said Tanaka.
Richard Van den Bulk, manager of the Global OEM Liaison Team, will participate in a panel discussion on “Is There a Need for New Lubricant & Grease Standards?” on March 12, 2021 (day 4) at 9:00 – 10:00 a.m., SGT.
Taiki Hattori, formulator, AEO Product Development Team, Omaezaki Technology Center, will give a presentation titled “Impact on fuel efficiency and diesel engine oil performance by reducing the viscosity and various friction modifiers – evaluation of diesel engine oil using JASO engine test methods” on March 12, 2021 (day 4) at 11:45 a.m. – 12:15 p.m., SGT. Hattori explained, “The focus of my presentation is on the potential of next-generation fuel-saving diesel engine oil with low viscosity using JASO engine-test methods, including a report on the friction modifier (FM).”
